CLAIRE TAILYOUR
Claire Tailyour is a director and writer born in Johannesburg, grown in the UK, trained in the US. She has an MFA from USC film school in Los Angeles. She has directed hundreds of hours of television including lead directing on Channel 5's thriller The Wives, BBC's flagship dramas Beyond Paradise and Phoenix Rise, as well as Netflix/BBC's Get Even S2. Her debut feature script Mother Wild won BAFTA Rocliffe and PAGE awards in 2020.
Other credits include Moving On, Hollyoaks, Life, Death and Cheerleading, The Forgotten Girls of Dhaka, The Surrogates Club, as well as directing High End TV 2nd Unit on Rob Lowe's Wild Bill and Deceit.
Claire's shorts include Sundance London's Ruby's Skin starring Olivia Cooke (House of the Dragon) and Belittled starring Kiran Sonia Sawar (Black Mirror). Her short films have played at numerous international festivals including Sundance, AFI, Underwire and Tribeca.
As a writer, she is a Sundance International Scriptwriter Semi-finalist and a Semi-finalist for The Academy Awards' Nicholl Fellowship, wrote the Harper Collins web series adaptation of The Adventures of MacKenzie Blue. Whilst starting out in LA she assisted screenwriter Mark Goffman (West Wing, Law and Order, Sleepy Hollow).
